We have celebrity athelete contribtuors who write just for SE7EN, and this job will involve lots of writing, admin work handling writers contracts, editing on high tech production software, directing photo shoots, working with celebs, athletes, publicists, etc. so POLISH and intelligence, confidence, and sophistication are necessary. Company seeking an ongoing freelance editor/proofreader who is savvy with Microsoft Word. Looking for someone who has worked in a marketing or communications setting, who has worked in academia, or someone who has a technical background. Looking for someone who will make a commitment to long term freelance work. Assignment will be minimum of six months and can go up to one year plus if it is a good fit. Need someone who knows Microsoft Word well enough to make format changes like inserting fields, tables, charts, and making changes that require manipulating these types of layout issues. Will be working on datasheets, white papers, and manuals. This is not necessarily a creative position. Must be able to project manage your own work, and keep track of changes and edits. Must be someone who picks things up quickly. Position Responsibilities: Assist in the planning, editing, and execution of projects for Family and Consumer Sciences programs. Analyzes competition, identifying strengths and weaknesses. Writes photo and art specifications. Prepares manuscript for production.
