Copyeditor - Robert Half International - Westwood, MACompany seeking an ongoing freelance editor/proofreader who is savvy with Microsoft Word. Looking for someone who has worked in a marketing or communications setting, who has worked in academia, or someone who has a technical background. Looking for someone who will make a commitment to long term freelance work. Assignment will be minimum of six months and can go up to one year plus if it is a good fit. Need someone who knows Microsoft Word well enough to make format changes like inserting fields, tables, charts, and making changes that require manipulating these types of layout issues. Will be working on datasheets, white papers, and manuals. This is not necessarily a creative position. Must be able to project manage your own work, and keep track of changes and edits. Must be someone who picks things up quickly. Will be working very closely on projects with other people, so need to be detail oriented, and be able to manage schedules and timelines for due dates, etc... Also, this person may be sharing a cube, so need to be open to that structure. Hours are typically 9-5, but there is an option to come in earlier and leave earlier too. There is an opportunity for individual to work overtime as there is a ton of work in this department. There will be training involved.
