Wanted: Freelance Writers/Field Editors- All Locations
Scuba Diving magazine, the most trusted source of information on recreational diving, needs talented freelance writers/field editors. We’re in the process of stepping up our game and reinventing the concept of what a dive magazine can be, and we need extra hands for a wide range of assignments.
If you’re a passionate recreational diver who also happens to be a great reporter, a versatile writer and/or a skilled editor who understands the nuances of working with photographers, graphic artists, web programmers and videographers, we'd like to hear from you.
Specific short-term needs include:
• Reporters/writers who specialize in short FOB pieces on the people, places, gear and experiences that make diving the top adventure sport.
• Knowledgeable divers who can produce useful and interesting instructional and other how-to content (certified instructors strongly preferred).
• Dive travel experts who can produce interesting service-oriented pieces on destinations.
• Gear junkies who can translate their fascination into useful service-oriented equipment coverage.
We're also open to creative ideas and innovative pitches, especially for non-destination feature stories about the sport.
Send a cover letter, resume and no more than three clips (links/PDFs/Word attachments are OK) that demonstrate your professional talents and your ability to communicate diving with passion, knowledge and wit.
