External Job Description : Fox Reality is recruiting a Freelance New Media / Web Video Editor to assist in the growth of our New Media department.
This person is responsible for graphic design, visual layout, user interface and content productions for our external web sites, mobile/wireless and video-on-demand services from initial development through maintenance. Video editing / script writing experience is essential. This is a limited-term position of 6-months. This position is located in Los Angeles, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES: ?Digitizing video ?Video editing and production. ?Compressing video clips into multiple formats for end users including but not limited to web, mobile/wireless, on-air. ?Graphic design duties (watermarking, web layout, thumbnail creation, etc).
REQUIREMENTS: ?Bachelors degree plus 5-7 years experience with video compression and web video ?Proven skills developing new media content using the latest online design/editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Flash. ?3-5 plus years experience with video cameras, video capturing from multiple sources and video editing ?Demonstrated experience in managing projects and timelines while working with multiple technical/creative teams ?Deep understanding of digital video formats, equipment, technology and workflow ?Must have a discriminating eye/ear for video/audio quality ?Entertainment industry experience preferred. ?Be proficient on the Mac platform with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Flash/Actionscript, HTML/CSS, AfterEffects, or video experience is a big plus. ?Basic knowledge of web programming languages highly preferred (HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, Java, SQL, etc.) ?Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. ?Proficient in MS Office suite software. ?Current authorization to work in the US.
